Madonna Bio

Born in a Catholic family on August 16, 1958, in Bay City, Michigan, Madonna Louise Ciccone, an American singer, songwriter, actress, author, and businesswoman grew up in the Detroit suburbs of Pontiac and Rochester hills. Her father is of Italian-American extraction while her mother is of French-Canadian ancestry.

Madonna attended St. Fredrick’s and St. Andrew’s elementary Catholic schools and later went for her high school education at the Rochester Adams high school, where she was a member of the school’s cheerleading group. Madonna who is often referred as the Queen of Pop was admitted at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance before she embarked a music career in contemporary music and dance.

The music icon released her first self-titled album, Madonna by Sire Records in 1983. From the five singles that were released from the album, “Holiday” became her first to top the Billboard Hot 100. Since then, she has never looked back. Some of her commercially acclaimed albums include Like a Virgin, Like a Prayer, Ray of Light, True Blue Hard Candy, and Rebel Heart some of which she wrote and produced. In 1998, Madonna earned her slot in the Guinness Book of World Records when she was named as the only single female artist ever to have sold so many records the world over.

But things didn’t stop here, her popularity continued when she performed in the musical movie Evita, which won a Golden globe Award for Best Actress. Besides singing and acting, Madonna is also been involved in charity work in Africa countries. In Malawi, she has used her vast fortune to build 10 schools for the needy children among others.

The pop diva has been married twice to Sean Penn, an actor and Guy Ritchie, English film director. Both marriages ended in divorce.

Madonna Body Measurements

Most people would give up anything to grow some inches taller, and Madonna is not an exception. The music icon stands at 5 ft 4½, but she would have wanted to be a bit taller, she was quoted saying in some interview, adding that she felt like a shrimp. 5 ft 4½ might be considered an average woman’s height, but there is nothing average about the things the iconic singer does.

Plastic surgery

At 57 years old, Madonna has a fabulous body, not to mention her face that is free of any signs of wrinkles. Debate rages on as to whether Madonna has had a breast lift, face lift, nose job, cosmetic dentistry and Botox injections. Certainly, her she looks very chic for a woman her age, but chances are high that the queen of pop has undergone the plastic surgeon’s scalpel. Notable is the hollows under her eyes that are not detected in her earlier shots. Notwithstanding good nutrition, her cheeks also look full and round like those of a young girl. She has also never denied undergoing rhinoplasty. Her lips and jaw line is another story altogether.

To give her some credit and a personal trainer to boot, the super-fit pop star is known for her great dedication to body workouts and strict diet regimen.
