He was born on the 26th of April 1980 as Channing Matthew Tatum in Cullman Alabama. He is an actor, model, dancer and film producer. He started his acting career with minor film roles in several movies including War of the World. His breakthrough came in 2006 when he was cast in Step Up. He was cast alongside actress Jenna Dewan with whom he started a relationship, the two are married and have one daughter Everly. He is the son to Kay and Glenn Tantum . His mother worked as an airline worker and his father worked in construction. He has one sister Paige and a step brother Christopher Anderson. He is of a French, Native American, Irish and German ancestry. When he was six years old, his family moved to Mississippi, where he spent most of his teen life in a rural setting. He always had an athletic flare; he played soccer, football, martial arts, basketball and track. He went to college on a football scholarship but he dropped out before finishing his course.
