She was born as Kate Elizabeth Winslet on the 5th of October 1975 in Reading, Berkshire in England. She is an English singer and actress also known as The English Rose. She got this nickname after playing the role of Rose in the 1997 movie Titanic. She broke the record as being the youngest female celerity to win six award nominations in a row. Aside from this, she has won many other awards and award nominations. She has her name inducted in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She comes from a family of four with two sisters both of whom are in the acting industry: Sally Anne and Beth Winslet and one brother Roger John Winslet who works as a swimming pool contractor. She started her acting career when she was 12 years old by appearing in television commercials. Her acting talent was natural and this helped develop her career further. She always had a passion for acting since she was a child. She started learning drama since her childhood. She has been married more than once but she is currently married to Ned Rocknroll and together they have one child Bear Winslet. She was brought up under the Anglican Religion. Her sun sign is Libra.
