She was born as Kate Garry Hudson on the 19th of April 1979 in Los Angeles California. She is an American actress known for her blonde hair and extremely thin lips. She was brought to the limelight after she was cast in Almost Famous. This was a career changing role for her as she won several award nominations plus a Golden Globe award. She is also famous for portraying the role of Cassandra July in the television series Glee. She is the daughter to actor and actress Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson. Her mother has won an academy award. Aside from being an actor, her father is also a musician and a comedian. Her parents divorced when she was only eighteen months old and she and her brother Oliver Hudson were raised by her mother and step father Kurt Russel.
